This is a 30" x 40" watercolor painting on Arches hot press paper. It was in a WSO Show. I was pleased with the contrast. The skirt could have been more painterly. Biggest painting I have done.
I spe nt 37 years in Corvallis as a structural engineer, using the left side of my brain and neglecting the right side. I retired in 2006, and started exploring the right side, with sketching and watercolors.
I have taken watercolor classes from Mark Allison, and LaVonne Tarbox-Crone. In addition, I have taken watercolor workshops from Ted Nuttal, Donna Zagotta, and Arnie Westerman, and am currently painting weekly with James Kirk.
